The Cottage With a delightful English eccentric design and expansive living areas, the Cottage is ideal for large groups and parties. From admiring the view or enjoying a book in the sunroom to banqueting with friends and family in the impressive dining room, the interlinked space is truly stunning.

Full of character, it has bluey greeny colours, quirky fabrics and a fairyland - quality.

Enjoy views of the valley from this zingy room. French doors lead out to the Cottage terrace.

At the top of its own staircase, Celandine has an elegant feel. It has a Juliet balcony with great views of Bodmin Moor and the fishing lake.

Valerian is the oldest room at Tregulland, with a wall of mirrors and a crystal drop lamp. It could almost be a room from a cottage in a Grimm’s fairy tale.

Wood Aven

Upstairs in the Cottage, with views across the valley, Saxifrage is a seriously cosy room to escape to.

Wood Aven is a great bedroom for those who love to while away time with a book or writing. It is light and airy as it has double aspect windows with views of the valley and the pool house.

The Cottage Dining Room A magnificent setting for large group dining and special occasions, seating up to 24 people. The kitchen is directly off the dining room and you can also open up the doors to the sun room for a more open-plan feel.

The Cottage Sun Room A relaxation room extraordinaire opening out onto the valley and with views of Cornwall’s twin peaks.

The Cottage Kitchen The Kitchen forms part of a stunning living space, with direct access to Sunroom, Dining Room and Snug.

The Cottage Snug If it’s cold outside, while away the afternoon with a good book, a cup of tea and a slice of cake.

The Grounds Tregulland’s 16 acres are for the private use of guests, including landscaped lawns, courtyard, woodland plantation, 1 acre fishing lake and stream. Look out for Doris the 23lb carp and see if you can spot kingfishers, starlings, Canada geese, buzzards, peregrines and our owl, during your stay.

The Pool House The walls are lined with slate and the room is backlit at night which means evening swimming is very special - look up at the stars through the skylights. Freshwater swimming means pure Cornish spring water maintained at the perfect temperature.

The Dutch Tub

The Steam Room

Outdoor and wood-fired. Just outside the pool house, fire up the Dutch hot-tub, lower yourself in and look up at the stars.

After a swim, once you’ve done a few lengths of the pool, the perfect way to relax is to enjoy the steam-room with the cleansing eucalyptus vapours. If you need to cool off there’s always the outside shower.

The Barn Tregulland’s handsome Barn, with a modern British feel, is a temple of relaxation and convivial living. Enjoy a big lunch or supper downstairs in the kitchen diner, and in the evening take a seat in the gabled Granary sitting room, lower the HD projection screen and get ready for movie night.

French windows open straight out to the courtyard, while inside, the bronze hues, and buttoned headboard create a feel that is traditional with a twist.

A charming room with French doors to the courtyard and a walk-in wetroom.

Peregrine is smart, sexy and dramatic - a real master bedroom.

Kingfisher is named after the bird’s colours - indigos and blues -which give the room a tranquil feel.

The Barn Map Room Barn Owl

Plan your next adventure, or have some quiet time out.

Exposed roof beams, wooden floors and panelling makes Barn Owl a delightfully cosy room.

The Barn Kitchen Diner The Barn’s Kitchen and Diner is a great place to get together for a big lunch, a board game, or have a snooze by the fire.

The Barn Granary With oversized sofas, books galore, cosy fireside spots, a card table and a cinema projection screen.

There are gorgeous beaches for surfing, swimming, lounging and rock-pooling (some of them are hidden but we’ll let you in to the secret), cliff side walks, pubs, ancient discoveries and of course famous attractions like The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

At 16 he moved to front of house where he remained throughout his education. Jack completed a BSc in Psychology and an MA in Ancient History at Cardiff University. Upon completing his masters in 2003, he then returned to The Seafood Restaurant as commis chef. After two years he then took up the position of sous chef at Rick Stein’s Café where he remained for another year. Following this, Jack then went on to Paris to stage at La Régalade, which ignited a passion for travel and a period of stage work all over the world. Jack travelled to Australia for an extended stay at Tetsuya’s in Sydney, before exploring the Far East and Japan. Upon his return to Padstow he re-entered The Seafood Restaurant and progressed to sous chef before moving on to a tournant role across the whole company.
