Attend policy briefings with our region’s elected officials and provide feedback as an active member of the Public Policy Committee or PAC.

PAC Candidate Interviews

Join us for our new series of informal receptions with local elected officials and dealmakers. During these TREC membersonly events, invited guests will discuss their priorities and interact with TREC members.

Participate in interviews with candidates for public office and vote to support candidates who are aligned with TREC’s policy vision.

Lunches with Legislators Share an intimate lunch with city council members as well as state and local elected officials. Help facilitate an open dialogue and influence policy that will strengthen the commercial real estate industry and our community. OPEN ONLY TO PAC MEMBERS, COMPLIMENTARY

TREC Think Tank Our new TREC Think Tank takes a blank slate approach and discusses all parts of the Dallas and regional community, identifying cityplanning initiatives for 10, 25, and 50 years from now. TREC Think Tank reports back to the PPC and the TREC board with vision statements and action items.

Join your peers from real estate councils across the state in Austin to advocate on legislative issues that impact the commercial real estate industry. Lobby Days include an evening reception and office visits. FEBRUARY 26-27

Public Service Trainings In these two hour-long workshops, you’ll learn the skills needed to serve on a city board, commission or task force. Find current opportunities to serve and learn how to apply. Followed by happy hour.

Public Policy Roundtables Enjoy intimate luncheons with industry and policy experts, analyzing the intersection of policy and commercial real estate. Topics include the political anatomy of a real estate deal and the latest legislative updates.
