Recently the group reported that between 2001 and 2016 11 million acres of farm and ranchland were converted to urban and highly developed land use. That is about 4.1 million acres for high density use, and 4 million acres for lower density residential use. Max offers insight from the report noting that loss amounted to paving over about 2,000 acres per day.”
