A day at the races is a great way to celebrate the local culture. Walk through Decoy Country Park to experience the lush green characteristics that surround Newton Abbot. Pack a picnic lunch and settle under the shady trees for a perfect afternoon.

One of the most popular and recognisable buildings in Newton Abbot is the Buckfast Abbey (Pictured at top). This stunning historical abbey was in first built in 1018. Since then, a rich and fascinating history has unfolded there. The abbey is now a wonderful culture of vegetables are grown and bees kept. Animals also make up its unique farm-like community. Product of the farming is sold in the gift shop that also sells items from communities all over the world.
