The goal of this class is to develop a reliable canine citizen, whether to gain necessary control over an older friend or to start a young dog’s education. We teach using a combination of traditional dog training techniques and behavior modifications. The beginning course gives you specific skills to teach your pet five fundamental commands necessary in building a happy relationship. The advanced course emphasizes dog psychology and handling skills which progresses your dog towards passing the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test. The AKC Canine Good Citizen Test will be offered at the end of the session. Inquire with your instructor. Location: Kenner Park, 1850 Kavanagh Ave. Instructor: Jack Fields, K-9 Development Ages: 14+ Note: All dogs must be at least 16 weeks old. Participants under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring proof of current vaccines.

Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) Online Course Skills Testing Session The American Heart Association is now offering online options for certifying in CPR. For students who would like to certify with this new option, simply complete these two steps. Step 1: Visit the AHAs online website which is www.onlineaha.org and select the “BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR Online Part 1” course from the course catalog. You will complete this online training at home in your own time and it will take approximately 1-2 hours. At the end of the training, simply print out the online certificate. Step 2: Sign up for one of the skills testing sessions listed below. Skills testing will be done by Life First Training Center staff. Upon successful completion of these two steps, you will receive your certification card.
