The idea for Town Pride was born on a very average day in Yarmouth Maine. Yarmouth has a motto “The latchstring is always out” it embodies the welcoming spirit of the town. A latchstring is a string placed through a hole in a door, for raising the latch from the outside, a sign to all that you are welcome, that we trust you, that we are here for you and that we care.

Town Prides latchstring is always out, we care about our customers and their business, we take their trust in us very seriously. We care about our products, where they are made and of what materials, we care about people and the planet.

While this journey has had its hills to climb I wouldn’t change a thing, its been the most remarkable 3 years.

From our humble beginnings launching out of my home in Maine to now having showroom space in all three major markets, 16 employees, a flagship retail store and new franchise company, its been a bit of a whirlwind but never a dull moment!

We will continue to listen to our customers, respond to their feedback and adjust our sails as we enter our next chapter. We are building on our strong commitments to manufacturing and I truly believe our best is yet to come!

Tamara resides in Yarmouth, ME with her husband of 30 years. She enjoys time with her 2 daughters, especially traveling. Tamara is always up for an adventure and discovering a new place!

After evaluation on our sustainable supply, cycle & process chain, including responsible sourcing, materials, manufacturing, production, distribution, product & waste management, we were awarded this fine achievement at MAGIC in Nashville, TN!

WHO IS HEY SOCIAL GOOD?

Hey Social Good is a social impact data analytics company that assess and verify businesses and brands for their sustainable, giveback, and socially responsible practices. They hold a single conviction: with the right tools, people will make small shifts to improve people, community & planet. (www.heysocialgood.com) They use the United Nation's 17 Sustainable Goals as a metrics when evaluating a company’s giveback culture and as a measurement for their sustainability methods.

HOW DID WE EARN OUR VERIFICATION?

The Social Good verification and medal ratings reflect a company's high level of work to achieve a giveback culture in their community as well as adopting sustainable practices. Town Pride's practices were cross checked with the United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Then our operation as a whole was reviewed, from manufacturing to packaging to distribution.
