PUBLIC HEARING CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Tom Grant called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 1.0

OPEN SESSION FOR PUBLIC 1.1

A member of the audience asked Council the reason for the increase in municipal property taxes. Mayor Tom Grant explained that the properties are reassessed based on sales and that about 20% of all properties in Town are done every year. The mill rate was reduced but properties with assessment increases are experiencing increases in their tax notices. He also mentioned that a half a mill represents approximately $100,000.00.

10.12 Sewer Line Oversized By its Resolution No. 09.269 of June 22nd, 2009 this Council approved the extension and oversize of the sewer line for the Tri-Services building, to eventually accommodate the Prairie Vista Estates Subdivision. 10.20 Energy-Canada – District Heating Funding Agreement In 2008 the Town entered into a funding agreement with Energy Canada for the district heating system that was to be constructed in the Prairie Vista Estates Subdivision. June 14th, 2010

Energy Canada was to contribute towards installing a system between the 1st of April 2008 and the 31st of October 2010. Since no units will be connected to a solar water heating system before October 2010, the funding agreement will be null and void.
