LOCAL PROGRAMS & SERVICES

MAYOR’S MESSAGE Greetings, and welcome to the Fall 2017 edition of the Community Program Guide! As always, we’re excited to present an exciting lineup of activities for the entire community to enjoy. Whether it’s yoga at the LLC, a swim class at the Aquatic Centre, or basketball in the Middle School gym, we’ve tried to include a little bit of something for everyone. With that said, if there’s an activity not listed that you’d like to see, let us know! If resources and planning allow, we’ll do our best to include it in future programming. The health and well-being of our citizens is of utmost importance, and we strive to create as many opportunities accordingly. For example, we’ve increased our dropin offerings to now include basketball, badminton, skating, and the evergrowing sport of pickleball. If you don’t have the time or ability to commit to a registered class, these are all great alternatives! Inside, you’ll also find information on various other community groups and their respective offerings. It’s well worth taking a look at the programs and activities they’ve got planned. As I’m sure you’re well aware, Canada is celebrating its 150th birthday this year — what better way to celebrate than by getting active and trying something new! Take a look inside and see what interests you!
