SKI Antigonish SKI Antigonish (SKIA) is a group of Nordic/Cross Country Ski enthusiasts sharing a common mission— promote safe, informed, and fun skiing for all. If you would like to share some time on groomed or ungroomed trails practicing your skiing skills, passing along your knowledge coaching others, hoping to pick up a few tips and techniques, or needing a ski partner to explore some wonderful trails around Antigonish, we would welcome your membership. This is our third year as an affiliate club, recognized by CCSNS and is supported by St. Francis Xavier University and the Town of Antigonish. We only ask regular skiers to become SKIA members and contribute 5$ for the season to cover CCSNS insurance fees. Introduction to Cross-Country Ski (Nordic/Classic) Would you like to learn how to cross-country ski and explore some beautiful snow trails around Antigonish County? All required equipment is provided; however participants can bring their own. If you are uncertain of your skill, you can be partnered with an experienced skier to help you with the basics until you are comfortable. You will be skiing with a group with an assigned session leader. Gear cost is free and we will meet weekly, weather permitting: Starting every Thursday evening, Jan 3 from 3–6 until March at the Antigonish Golf & Country Club or Beaver Mt.
