Travelling east along Highway 97C, Coquihalla Connector, towards Peachland will bring you past the Pennask Summit, the highest spot on this tour at 5,669 feet.

Similkameen Country Route
From Keremeos travel north along Hwy 3A to make your way to Penticton. You will pass Olalla, a friendly, small farming and ranching town. A short ways from here is a great spot for fishing at Yellow Lake. Continue along the winding road and you will come to Hwy 97, head north past Kaleden and along Skaha Lake to Penticton.
From Osoyoos head west towards Princeton on Hwy 3. Along the way you will follow the Similkameen River, which carries placer gold. Keremeos is filled with agriculture, from fruit and wines to honey and gardens. Stroll along a friendly small town Main Street or take in a rodeo while you are here. As you continue along Hwy 3 you will pass the historic town Hedley, once a thriving mining town. While in Hedley visit the Heritage Museum or take a tour of the recently restored Mascot Mine. Princeton has many attractions awaiting you any time of the year. Horseback riding, gold panning, fishing and snowmobiling are just some of the activities you will find here.

The Land of Lakes Route
A more adventurous route from Princeton to Merritt is north along Hwy 5A. Watch for wildlife as you pass by hundreds of lakes just waiting to be fished. As you get closer to Merritt there are rolling hills covered in bunch wheat grass, home to dozens of ranches.

Beginning in Penticton, head south on Hwy 97 towards Osoyoos. It is a scenic drive as you wind along past Skaha Lake to Okanagan Falls. As you near Oliver, you will pass Vaseux Lake (a bird watchers paradise) and McIntyre Bluff. Between Oliver and Osoyoos the valley is full of vineyards and orchards full of fresh fruit.

Osoyoos has the warmest fresh water lake in Canada, Lake Osoyoos. This attracts the outdoor enthusiast who likes boating, fishing and swimming. Osoyoos has two desert sites. Osoyoos Desert Centre offers daily tours along the 3 km boardwalk complete with 3 interpretive kiosks and exhibitions. Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre has a new interpretive centre and theatre along with hands-on exhibits, desert tours, programs and displays. Rock Creek is east along Hwy #3. Try your hand at gold panning at the Canyon Creek Ranch or maybe cycle the Trans Canada Trail which runs through Rock Creek. Fishing, camping, horseback riding, hiking and wildlife viewing are just a few of the many other outdoor activities found in the Rock Creek area.

Embark on your hike or bicycle exploration of the Trans Canada Trail right in Princeton. To the West follow the Tulameen River through tunnels and over bridges to the communities of Coalmont, Tulameen, and Brookmere.
