Czar The Village of Czar is located a few kilometres south of Highway 13 on Highway 41. Enjoy the action at the Czar Lake Bullarama on July 20th at the rodeo grounds. Shorncliffe Lake Park is only three km west of Czar. Popular for water-skiing and camping, you can also enjoy many events and activities plus the Prairie Panorama Museum.

EAT You’ll be in for a surprise at the Fireside Grill and Sports Lounge. Fancy a yak burger? Specializing in burgers both exotic and domestic. You'll find the menu filled with such offerings as ostrich, wild boar, kangaroo, and more. For the tamer appetite, try delicious main courses consisting of more traditional meals. Head over to the restaurant and dare to set your taste buds loose on the wild side.

OUTDOORS Play a round at the popular Provost Golf Club. Camp in town at Bannister Campground, located in the Sports Park. Nearby, kids will enjoy the skateboard park. Around town, you can enjoy playgrounds, tennis courts, soccer fields, ball diamonds, and a trout pond. Around Provost there are also a number of lakes and campgrounds including Dillberry Lake Provincial Park. Just 15 minutes south of Provost on Highway 899, you can join an excavation and experience archaeology first hand this summer. Book a tour today at the Bodo Archaeological Site & Centre. They offer Adult Dig-It Camps, Kids Camps, and Family Lifeways Camps where you can live like it was 200 years ago! The Centre is open from early May to late August. Agri-Day & Tradeshow, in early April, gets more popular every year. Be sure to drop by during Provost Kinsmen's Splash and Smash Event on the Father's Day weekend. It’s rural Alberta's largest motorsport and monster truck event, complete with a midway, plus don't miss the Museum Day activities. Join the community as they participate in the Lucky Highway 13 Poker Rally on Saturday, July 21. The Town of Provost has completed the ‘revitalization’ of their Downtown (Main Street) and plans are underway to hold a community celebration on August 24, 2018. Watch for more details. In October take in the Pumpkin Fest, and enjoy Winterlude in November.

ATTRACTIONS & EVENTS Travelling back in time is as simple as visiting the Provost & District Museum located at the southwest corner of town. This museum is walkable, with historic homes, churches and schools for you to explore. You'll be sure to enjoy every moment of your time discovering the history of Provost. History buffs can add a trip to St. Norbert's Rosenheim Church, an Alberta Historic Site, featuring the largest rural neo-gothic church in Alberta, located just southeast of town. Built in 1922, it is an excellent example of architecture from southern Germany. The Rosenheim Historical Society has lovingly and painstakingly restored the building to its original beauty and stature. It’s quite the site to see!
