Geocaching / La géochachette

Island Cycling Events

Confederation Trail Geocaching is like a modern day game of hide and seek. It is best defined as an adventure game for Global Positioning Device users. Caches are set up all over the world, their locations coordinates are posted on the Internet and GPS users get to hunt for the cache. Geocaching originated in Beaver Creek, Oregon in 2000.

6th Annual Spring Cycling Event June 14 & 15, 2014 Starting at Emerald Community Centre on both days. Mike Connolly mconnolly@sportpei.pe.ca • 902.368.4985 www.cpei.ca

The Confederation Trail has 1800 geocaches placed along the 400 kilometers of the trail. There are over 5189 geocaches on P.E.I. Brookvale X-Country Mountain Biking Trails Brookvale Nordic Center is the home to 40 kilometers of single track trail. It is the mountain biking mecca of PEI. Home to the Rigid Riders Mountain Biking Club, it offers a variety of trail difficulty from beginner to expert. As a public mountain biking venue, the trails at Brookvale offer a mix of ‘flowy’ single-track and sweeping double track sections. Whether you are a beginner hoping to explore rich Island forests, or an expert set on pushing your limits as you flow through rusty single track, Brookvale Nordic Center has a Mountain Biking experience for you. For more information visit: www.tourismpei.com/pei-mountain-biking.
