MURRAYVILLE FUN facts Amid the homes and shops, this area is the traditional civic core. Murrayville is home to the Langley Memorial Hospital, Langley RCMP Main Detachment, Langley School District offices, W.C. Blair Recreation Centre, and Langley Regional Airport. Murrayville is one of the oldest communities in Langley and several historical landmarks are found here, including the community’s oldest schoolhouse and the 1930s P.Y. General Store, today a modern café.
Historical Old Yale Road, one of the first roads to be paved in the province, runs through Murrayville and connects to the city’s first roundabout. The Langley Regional Airport is a general aviation airport used for aviation industry businesses and by private aircraft for recreational flying, as well as fixed wing and helicopter flying training and charter flights. The airport is also home to the Canadian Museum of Flight, dedicated to restoring, preserving and showcasing Canada’s rich aviation heritage. It is a great spot to spend part of your day. Do not miss the famous Handley Page Hampden as it is the only one on display in the world! Murrayville is also home to the Langley Golf & Banquet Centre, a beautifully groomed par 3 course that appeals to all skill levels.

The two main pads of the Langley Regional Airport are capable of accommodating the largest helicopter in the world, the Sikorsky S-61, as well as a variety of other rotary wing aircraft.
Langley’s first indoor public pool opened December 1986. Named in memory of the Township’s late mayor W.C. Blair Recreation Centre, it also featured BC’s first wave pool.
The Murrayville Pumphouse is important for its historic and social significance. The pump house site has supplied water to the residents of Murrayville, one way or another, continuously since 1911. Community folklore still claims that the water collected here makes the best pickles.
