ADDHOCK THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS...

Friday 17 March 7.30pm

THE LION IN WINTER BY JAMES GOLDMAN

Julian Siegel sets out on a new stage in his career with this new nineteen piece, allstar jazz orchestra. Known internationally for his outstanding small group jazz with Partisans, plus his own quartet, Julian has also played with many of the world’s leading Jazz Orchestras. For years he’s dreamed of having an orchestra of his own; he’s even written music for it and knew who would be in it. Now the dream is made real with new music and a tour commissioned by Derby Jazz, with support from Arts Council England the dream is a reality.

Can the old lion outwit them and hang on to his crown, kingdom and beautiful mistress? This witty, fast-paced drama inspired the film of the same name starring Peter O’Toole and Katherine Hepburn and has become a modern classic.
