The Session in the Presbyterian Church is the elected body of ordained ruling elders who make decisions and deliberate on behalf of the congregation. The minutes of these meetings are published in the church newsletter. Ordained: Once in a lifetime the church calls an individual to serve based on his or her gifts for ministry. Once ordained, always ordained. Ruling elders: There are two types of elders in the PCUSA: Teaching elders, (the pastors who were previously designated as Ministers of Word and Sacrament) and the ruling elders, lay members ordained to serve on session.

The Deacons are the people elected and ordained for ministry in the church, At WPC, the Deacons are responsible for ushering, serving as coffee hour hosts, preparing communion and ministering to those in need. Once a deacon, always a deacon. In this congregation, the deacons meet four times a year and serve in their capacity on a rotating basis.

Time/Location: Session meets regularly 11 times a year. Please call the Church Office (414-774-5005 ext. 0) for the date and time or check the online calendar at Contact: Church Office 414-774-5005 ext. 100
