As Township services begin to slowly re-open and Recreation staff welcome you back into the Ramara Centre, we want to make sure we are doing this in the safest way possible while following provincial guidelines and advice from our local health unit officials. Our top priority is the safety of our visitors and staff. Th in gs t o k n ow bef or e you go ... - Masks- we will follow provincial and health unit guidelines as they pertain to the wearing of masks during physical activity. At this time, we will require use of masks entering and exiting the building. - Physical Distancing - our classes will be set up and filled to the capacity where participants will be spaced 2 metres (6 feet apart) for the duration of the program. - Hand Sanitizer- will be available at the entrance and exit and during the class. - Active Screening - will take place before entering your class. This involves scanning a QR code, answering some simple questions and receiving the thumbs up to enter your class. Paper copies will be available at the office or with instructors should you be unable to use a cell phone at the time. Remember - if you're sick, please stay home!

Children'sPrograms Nerf Battle
Ages 6-10 year s
Grab your gear and prepare for battle! Participants will enjoy an active warm up, target practice, and variations of nerf battle challenges each week. Drop your child(ren) off with our qualified recreational staff so you can enjoy a couple of hours to yourself, with friends or go on a date! Children will participate in some active games followed by a G or PG rated movie. We will serve popcorn and children can wear their PJ's Don't forget their water bottle and indoor running shoes. The Babysitter 's Training Course is designed to help youth, 12 years and older, be equipped with the skills and tools they need to be a successful babysitter. This virtual course will touch on topics such as caring for children from three months to school aged, behaviours, misbehaviours, handling emergencies, sickness or injuries and basic First Aid and prevention. Chen Taiji is the original Taiji system from which other forms of Taiji sprung from; it dates back to the 13th century. What differentiates the Chen style from others is it's "silk reeling" movements, which are supple, springy, coiling and free flowing. They exercise all muscles, joints, soft tissues and internal organs. Danny will teach you the 5 most fundamental postures, which contain movements that manifest the main principles of Taiji. Daily practice of just these 5 postures will develop flexibility, coordination, stamina, physical and mental strength; plus for a bonus, they will provide you with self defense skills. Ramara is crazy for Pickleball! Come out and get involved in a fantastic sport here at the Ramara Centre! Keep fit and have fun. Learn the rules, play the game and meet lots of great people. Registration is required for all players. Please note: advance booking of court time is required for all players. Once registered you will be given a link to our online Pickleball Schedule for you to manage your own opponents and Pickleball times. Number of players is adjusted so that players can play twice a week. Only 4 people maximum allowed on the court. Please arrive on time and leave on time for your games. No hallway socializing this session. Players will be expected to discard used equipment for cleaning after every game. Play times run Tues. 11-4, Thurs. 11-4 and Fri. 11:15-1:15.
