Brian took Crystal to his family’s farmhouse in Bloomfield. They stood where his grandparents had gotten married on the front porch and he explained how important the farmhouse was to him, and that he wanted it to be just as meaningful to her. It wasn’t until he got down on one knee that Crystal knew this place would always be special to her, too.

Crystal and Brian first met while their shifts at DeSha’s coincided on Sunday mornings. Even though Brian knew his cell phone didn’t have an alarm on it, he asked her to figure out how to set it, just so he could talk to her. They shared their first date at Joe’s Crab Shack in 2006. Brian wanted to impress Crystal (who was a server at DeSha’s) so much that he tipped their server 50%. The only problem was, Crystal never saw the check!
