Stary Dom, or the Old House is located in a premises which has been serving food for over 75 years. it harkens back to the finest traditions of Polish cuisine and this culture’s welcoming ways. Within its vast space, guests are waited upon by a well mannered staff with the friendliness and sophistication of old Europe. The interiors are a feast to the eyes with high ceilings, real wood paneling and furniture that straddles the rustic with the elegant. Many of the popular dishes are prepared in front of guests on movable trolleys such as the tartar meticulously chopped by the chef, and the flambéed Stroganoff. Other outstanding items include special pies with goose or duck; the herring with grated apple, chopped onion and pickles; and the honey glazed “golonka” or pork knuckle. Definitely a place to be to savor the best of traditional Polish cuisine!
