FAITH SPEAKS

The Word of God Promises that you can have whatever you say in Faith. – St. Mark 11: 23, 24 If you desire a breakthrough in your finances, make the following word based confessions daily and speak your financial prosperity into existence today! •

In the name of Jesus, I declare that God’s desire for me is to prosper financially.

I possess the power to seize wealth, and lay hold on my covenant right to be free from bondage to debt, lack and insufficiency.

Abundance, prosperity and the good life are mine.

I speak to the mountain of circumstances and command it be removed from my life now!

God is my Source; He is the God of breakthrough.

Therefore, by faith I declare that this is my receiving day and year of financial breakthrough!

I will give God what belongs to Him, His tithe–it’s not mine to begin with.

I will give the Lord an offering, to move His heart towards me.

I will discipline my spending and watch the miracles of God in my finances.

I declare this in Jesus name!

August 1, 2009 A D Receivers of Dear M Manna Fire, “ e fire was so hot it “Th b burned the men who b brought them to the furn nace.” Daniel 3:22 Tabernacle we are the f furnace, the Word being brought forth from God is the fire; you are the men and every person h you evangelize l to will be burned by the that fire of the Word. We have reached a new plateau; God has appointed me, and you, at a time such as this, to be a leading force in the Kingdom. So be vigilant in your study of God’s Word, and fervent in your prayers for this house, the National Church and the strength of the Shepherd. Speak the Word and it will ignite a flame in the souls of the people and they will come and the church will grow. I need you to be relentless in your giving to the house. We must and will build the temple. Continue to bring your tithes and off erings and seek out the blessings that may be around you to help the church. If you have not done so pick up your Bank and have your friend, co-workers and even businesses you frequent become a part of the building of God’s house. As we prepare for Manna from Heaven 09, let us come together and make the Prayer Breakfast an experience like never before, filling our body as well as our Spirit. Let’s prepare to make our sacrifices for our 3-day revival in Manna. Tabernacle we have been thrust in the midst of the fire for refinement, and Jesus is the closet when the flames are the hottest as we go through. Therefore, may we wait and labor proudly knowing we will come out without a singe, a burn or a stench; but with the royal presence and likeness of the Son of God.

Focus on Leadership: the Importance of

“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18, KJV

Vision clearly distinguishes leadership from management. As the citation from Proverbs indicates, having a vision is essential to the welfare, even the life, of the people. While the New American Standard translation renders “the people perish” as “the people are unrestrained,” the ministry that can assist the parishioners, as well as employ members. meaning remains the same: without a vision, the life and welfare of the people become unfocused and endangered. Thereby any attempt to lead, at any level, without a vision of where you are going is a prescription for ineptitude and eventually, disaster. The single most important thing a leader can do for his or her followers is to provide the vision. How well the leader articulates the vision and how well the followers understand the vision are key to the success of any endeavor. Sharing my military background with you I would like to point out that at the strategic level, the National Military Strategy defines the objectives towards which the economic and military strength of the nation is directed. On the operational level, the “end state” of the campaign determines how to proceed and what combination of measures and forces will be used. On the tactical level, the critical piece of information needed by all is the “Commander’s Intent.” It is the vision of the leader that gives focus and meaning to the organization... At all levels, the “vision,” whether one calls it the national strategy, the end state, or the commander’s intent, is absolutely essential to the process. And everyone in the unit or organization or ministry must know, understand, articulate and, hopefully, affirm that is the vision of the leader that gives focus and meaning to the organization, and gives direction, authenticity and power to the actions of everyone within it. Organizations with clear and concise vision are successful and have high shall be trampled under the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ. We declare that we are a praising and worshipping church. A people whose praise creates such a stir in the heavenliness, that God lovingly descends to

morale; organizations without clear and concise vision are unfocused, unsuccessful and problem-plagued. A ministry’s Statement of Purpose should serve as the vision statement for that ministry. And it points towards the direction that ministry is heading. It is a vision that looks out over almost an entire generation and tells us that there is where we need to go. Every ministry must have its statement of purpose or vision statement, which helps us see the direction the ministry, must take to get to the future. ...The vision is greater and more profound than the preferences of the individual. A ministry needs a vision statement that looks out, to the future. Although its servant leader is not forever. Thus, the vision is greater and more profound than the preferences of any individual. The leader must look out to the future and say, “Here is where we should go, and this is what we should be.” The vision statement must contain not only the direction but also the character of the organization. A new leader can incorporate mid-course corrections and slightly different emphasis if the vision is sound, clearly understood, and accepted by the majority of the organization. This is possible only if the vision statement, containing both the direction and the character of the organization is, in fact, congruent with the professed core values of the organization. The size of the organization and the scope of its interest (or work) will determine how far into the future the leader needs to look to shape the We declare and confess that we are a church of strong families. We believe in the institution of marriage established by God. Therefore we rebuke the spirit of divorce in our congregation. We declare no shortage of men in this worship place. We rebuke dysfunctional families and AUGUST 2009 CONNECTED 10

vision of where and what the organization should be, and how complex the vision statement should be. The vision statement describes the goals and affirms the values of the organization. From national to platoon level, the vision statement describes not only where the leader thinks the organization needs to go, but what the organization should be when it gets there. Even in complex organizations, the leader’s vision should be clear, concise, easily understood by all within the organization, and accessible to those outside of the organization who interact with it. At all levels, a clear, concise statement of the leader’s vision is essential to focus the efforts of all on both the goals and the values of the organization. “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Where there is no vision, the organization, unit, or team flounders from one crisis to the next with no understanding of goals and objectives. “When you don’t care where you are going, it doesn’t matter which way you go” (Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll). But, if we as leaders know the vision of our senior leader, recognize the core values of our church, and understand the way our organization functions, we can point the way to the future, and empower all to work in concert toward the common goal. Where are you taking me God, because I can’t see the road?

By Moniquea McClean

I struggled with what to write this month not because I didn’t know what to say but because I had too much to say! I am in a season that I don’t completely understand but wholly embrace. It made me stop and think about my life and particularly my future. What am I destined for? Where am I going? What does tomorrow hold for me? I hope to be able to share the past few months with you in future columns but the Lord hasn’t released me to speak on it as yet. Take time out to read the poem below and think about your past, present and future. What has the Lord promised you, what has He already manifested and what promises are you still waiting for Him to fulfill? This poem is called Destiny… Where are you taking me God, because I can’t see the road? The rivers are flooding all around me and this isn’t the prophecy that I’ve been told. Where is my land and where are my riches? Who has replaced them with famine and sickness? What about the promise you made in your name? I’m not looking for fortune or fame. I just want to complete your will for my life But every corner I turn I’m faced with more strife! I don’t see the vision anymore Lord All I see are closed doors! Th is is not the way it was supposed to be It feels like my Spirit is not free. Shackled and in bondage is my mind And if I don’t get reprieve my Spirit won’t be too far behind. Yet I can’t help but wonder if I too am in the garden Should I just close my eyes and allow your blood to pardon You said if I confessed then you would forget Tossed into the sea yet I’m the one swimming back to my mess How long will I deny that on the inside of me is destiny? And allow myself to be a willing vessel ready to be set free. How long will I allow my self to remain stagnant? No growth just weeds drawn to me like a magnet. How long will my selfish self Allow my flesh to put Christ on a shelf? How long will I deny that on the inside of me is destiny? And allow myself to be a willing vessel ready to be set free. If God said it, then so it shall be I will walk into my destiny I have no time to waste I’m moving on from this place of disgrace I’m embracing the Love that Christ has for me And sharing the testimony of what bought me to my knee I couldn’t hold on to my past any longer Because the more of Him I learned, I grew stronger I slowly let go of the rope that defined who I was And allowed God’s restorative power to tell me who I was to become It doesn’t matter what I used to do Christ’s blood has made me new So yes, on the inside of me is destiny And I am a willing vessel ready to be set free. God Does Not Have Favorites But He Does Have Intimates. By Victoria Roberts

Are you close enough to God to be considered an intimate? Are you closely connected, do you have detailed knowledge of God as a result of extensive study? God favors (shows grace, approval, and kindness) but He does not show partiality. Grace is given freely to all. God loves us all but we are not all intimately connected to Him. We must take the time to cultivate and nourish our relationship with our creator. God desires for us to become his agapaos; to bring him eternal joy. Establishing a solid foundation of Word, devotion, worship and praise will bring us closer to total intimacy with God. Intimacy is developed overtime spent together, and experiences shared. How much time are we spending with God? Intimacy is getting familiar by listening. How often are we hearing, let alone listening to God? Intimacy is showing love for each other. How do we show God love? Are we loving other as ourselves, are we doing unto others as we would have them do unto us? Intimacy is pleasing him by our faith. Are we humbling ourselves and praying, allowing God to hear from us so he can heal the land? Are we showing faith in Him by tithing and giving offering so He can open up the windows of blessings? Are we delighting ourselves in Him so he can give us the desires of our heart?

We can determine the level of our intimacy by the strength of our worship. The more we worship, the closer we get to God. Our breakthroughs, our healings, our blessings are all directly connected to our worship. When we worship we are expressing our love and intimate affection towards God. So, is it safe to say our lack of breakthroughs, healings and blessings are sitting dormant in our dead worship? Our worship deepens (makes intimate) the security of our love for God. His love for us is stable, never wavering, but it is us who can grow weak and tired in our pursuit of true worship (intimacy) with God. As the body needs blood to survive, our intimacy with God needs worship. We show worship in all we do. By accepting Jesus into our hearts and allowing him to renew our minds, is worship. By sharing the good new of Jesus and how He saves, is worship. As I stated earlier, giving of our tithes and offerings and helping others is worship. We were created to please God and pleasing him, is getting to know him. Getting to know him is spending time with Him. Spending time with Him is becoming his intimate. Intimacy with God is having God running through our veins sustaining our mind, body and soul. Intimacy is allowing the truth of our redemption to take root in our minds and hearts. We will no longer be misled by the tricks of the enemy. The closer we get to God the more of His mind we will develop. The closer we get to God the more of his character we will begin to exhibit. The closer we get to God the more intimate we become. Ask yourself, “Am I God’s Intimate?” 2 Tim 2:15 2 Chronicles 7:14 John 13: 34 & 35 Malachi 3:10 Romans: 12 Romans: 15 Phillipians: 4 Hebrews: 11 & 13 1 Peter: 2 AUGUST 2009 CONNECTED 17
