Torre Montessori Nursery Guarderia Torre Montessori, an English nursery in Torre del Mar which was established in 2006 has since last March, been under new leadership.
Maria, the new manager, a native Spanish who lived in England for 20 years, worked as a freelance photographer in London until she had children of her own. After her two daughters were born, Maria opted for a career in childcare and worked in a number of nurseries in South London. When presented with the opportunity to run the Torre Montessori Nursery, she couldn’t resist! Maria and her team of two, Samantha and Becky, have many years experience of working with children and the three of them have child care qualifications. Samantha also has a special needs diploma, Becky is Montessori qualified and Maria has a degree in Art and a child psychology diploma. The Torre Montessori Nursery is an ideal place for your pre-school aged children where they can learn to speak both English and Spanish, engage and interact through play and develop social skills before starting school. Maria’s main goal is for the children to feel safe and secure in their environment. She feels that when children feel secure they are more apt to start exploring and learning about the world around them. Maria is as flexible as possible regarding drop-off/pick-up times. With three children of her own, one currently enrolled at Montessori, she understands how important this is when choosing a suitable nursery. Children are welcome from 12 months to four years old. Sessions are available Monday-Friday, and parents can choose to bring their child one to five days a week. Maria allows five children per adult, maximising the quality and quantity of interaction time..
