Angela’s 50th Fitness Charity Challenge The Girl Did It & Raised over 5,000€! Angela Taylor from Buy A Home Spain managed to beat her ambitious target of 5 hours for her crazy fitness challenge by finishing triumphantly in 4 hours 35 minutes. She had support in the gym from 2 friends on the day, Bob Higgs from Torrox who was with Angela from start to finish and Avni Nicholls from Benajarafe who also put in a great effort.
The rest of the weekend, for Angela, was mainly spent sleeping. Furthermore, the objective of the exercise was achieved with Angela raising over 5,000€ for her 3 charities: Cancer Research UK, British Heart Foundation & BLISS The Premature Baby Charity. The money is still coming in and as these are important charities that have touched the vast majority of families, some people felt so strongly that they sent their donations directly to the charity they preferred.
Angela’s husband, Austin was on hand at the end with the bubbly, but the thought of it seemed to turn the participants a delicate shade of green – so that idea was shelved!
I’ve just left Angela’s office and guess where she is going – you’re right, the gym!
It’s no surprise to write that Angela did not do much work that Friday afternoon! Instead they repaired to a tapas bar and then spent the evening with friends in a Chiringuito on Torre del Mar beach.
And I believe there may be another charity challenge on the way. Watch this space! Angela would like to send a huge thank you to everyone who has supported these very worthwhile charities.
