INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITY

QAA’s overall performance against the standards of the European Standards and Guidelines is uniformly high. It is a trustworthy, effective and highly credible agency and a leader in the field. (QAA Review 2013)


UK TRANSNATIONAL EDUCATION (2012)  Students study for UK degrees in over 200 different countries  Around 570,000 students now study overseas for UK degrees (+13% on the previous year)

Over 120 (and rising) UK higher education institutions are now involved in some form of TNE

 2.5 million international students studying in UK – of which 302,680 are nonEU international students


QUALITY ASSURANCE OF TNE “The only example of data gathering of overseas provision collected in a systematic way was found to be the country reviews conducted by the UK’s QAA.” “The UK’s QAA approach to auditing the exports of UK providers is a good practice.” Delivering Education Across Borders in the European Union European Commission, July 2013
