Far-Infrared Sauna Sweating Far-Infrared rays are the energy rays from the sun that cause photosynthesis in plants. Our bodies absorb 93% of the infrared waves presented to us and induce 2-3 times the volume of sweat released, even when the temperatures are at a lower, more tolerable level. The FIR sauna wavelength penetrates the skin 1 ½ “ which enables chemicals to be released from fat cells into the sweat.

Depending on your tolerance and previous use of saunas, start at 100 degrees F and 10-20 minute sessions with 140 degrees max and 60 minutes max.
