IMPORTANT NOTICES NEW CAR RIDER PROCEDURE . . . Due to some unforeseen problems, the new car rider procedure will not be implemented until Monday, August 24th. However, at this time we are asking that all parents: • Refrain from entering the car rider dismissal lane prior to 2:30 p.m. • Remain in your vehicles to pick up car riders • Exercise patience and set a positive example for all children • Please do not enter the “Exit Only” lane. Entering this lane is subject to a $200.00 ticket. These tickets are written randomly and without warning. Beginning in August, all parents will be asked to register their vehicle and students will be assigned a car rider number and plastic decal. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

EAT PIZZA AND EARN MONEY FOR TWIN LAKES . . . Our last “Twin Lakes Night” at CiCi’s

Pizza was such a success that we are having another one this Tuesday, May 19th. Cici’s Pizza is located on Baymeadows Road, just west of Southside Boulevard. Everyone who attended the “Twin Lakes Night” in March had a great time, so be sure to stop in for dinner between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. Mention Twin Lakes and a portion of your bill will be donated to our school. This is a delicious way to support Twin Lakes, so don’t forget to tell your family and friends about this, too.

STUDENT LUNCHES ON JUNE 4th and 5th . . . will be bag lunches. The menu for June 4th will consist of Turkey and Cheese sandwich on wheat bread or PB&J sandwich, Tiny Twist Pretzels, box of raisins, and assorted cookies. The menu for June 5th will be PB&J sandwich, Tiny Twist Pretzels, box of raisins, and assorted cookies.

READING CELEBRATION . . . will take place on Friday, May 22nd. The Cafeteria will serve bag lunches on that day. WILDCAT CHAT 1

MAY “BOOK OF THE MONTH” gr.3-5 Millions to Measure by David M. Schwartz Your favorite wizard is back, and ready to explore the invention of length, weight, and volume measurement. How tall is Moonbeam, the unicorn? How long are the whiskers of Jello, the cat? Just how heavy is the darling hog? Tons and teaspoons and ounces and feet and yards and miles . . . what a headache! With millions of things to measure, wouldn’t one standard system be simpler? With another wave of the wand, Marvelosissimo introduces you to the world of metrics, liters and grams. With Steven Kellogg’s playful and delightfully detailed illustrations, measuring has never been such a blast!

SPECIAL THANKS . . . to the following businesses that have supported us this year by being TLAE Business Partners: Ajax Building Corp., Animal Care @ Twin Lakes Center, Bennett’s Business Systems, Chick-fil-A @ St. Johns Town Center, Community 1st Credit Union, Dr. Orrin D.
