Teaching Principles

Instrctor 陳明揮 Ming Chen

基本設計對於建築系新鮮人的教育目標而言在注重對於資訊的觀察、紀錄、分析、整合與脈絡性的創 意思考訓練,本練習”異身之間”乃藉由從影片的觀察進而發展成一依異質特性的空間共存、互動可能 性的論述關係。

本組的訓練目標在於指定的素材裡以一個畢業設計 的局部概念下操作上述的教育目標,如何從既有的 素材 ( 影片決戰異世界 I、惡靈古堡 I) 中觀察、紀錄不同社群的社會組織、行為互動與肢體限制乃至於細胞、 基因的想像…等,由不同尺度的關係裡發現感興趣的議題,進而分析歸納並植入各自依興趣所研究發展出 的相關互動方式的想像,再而整合成一新的空間型態並附有其特定的互動行為。


The fundamental design studio for architecture freshmen is emphasis on observation, documentation, analysis, coordination and delivers a context of creative ideas along through the process. The goal of this practice, In-between Regular/ Altered Body, remains the same by searching the possibilities of new types of spaces with the idea of coexistence. The process of this studio is based on partial of the concept of a Graduation Design Thesis, Issues and Programming, to achieve the goal mentioned above by observation and documentation the specific given movies, Underworld V-I and Resident Evil V-I, through different kinds of scales such as the social relations, interaction behaviors, and different limitation of bodies or cells in genetic terms to discover some potential or interesting issues. Followed by individual developments through different imagination of programming or through different tools, creative painting, narratives, and collage through Photoshop and so on, according to each issues discovered and coordinates into new types of spaces which allow two disparate users to share an environment or have some specific interactive behaviors.

女郎俱樂部 COYOTE

I observed that there isn't any female exsist in Lycans's world when I watched the movie "Underworld".This may indirectly lead them grumpy and be one of the reason why they will attack humans.Then I created "Coyote" so male Lycans will spend more times gathering with Coyotes and that to reduce the probability of attacks on humans. At first,analysis Coyote who converted from human to Lycan.Then do the Lycans in the process of interaction will be what kind of change from hair, muscle ,blood flow and temperature. Futhermore,Creative Painting from these observations and analyzes to paint the inside of the body from the emotional impact of a deformation. Consequently, I compiled a paragraph on Coyote and male Lycan's love story.Describe how they meet at the club named "Coyotes". Changes to the three-dimensional plane,the floor from hard to soft, and showing the size of the illuminated cylindrical space and downs.

在「決戰異世界」中,我觀察到狼肯族的世界 沒有女性的存在,這可能間接導致他們脾氣暴躁, 沒事會去攻擊人類的原因之一。於是我創造了女郎 ( 狼 ),如此男狼就會因為將時間花在女狼身上而降 低出去攻擊人類的機率。 首先,分析女狼從人轉變為狼的各個感官之變 化,接著做狼在交往的過程中會有什麼樣的改變, 從外部的毛髮到內部的肌肉變化、血液流速以及體 溫的改變。 接著,創作畫就從這些觀察和分析去繪畫出從 情緒影響身體內部的一種形變。 最後,編了一段關於一名女狼和男狼的愛情故 事,描繪他們如何在女狼俱樂部的相逢,從平面到 三度空間的奔跑、地板硬到軟的變化,以及呈現空 間起伏大小的發亮圓柱。

Model space consists of zombies, zombie dogs and Lika total fighting to change as a result of changes in spatial models The main concept of the ΔH is under attack, whether as a result but the defending side or on both the dominant forever

由 ΔH 為最主要的概念之下 , 因惟由於不論攻 方還是守方在上的都永遠佔有優勢

ZERO-Defect Fort

The design is initially inspired by the movie [Under world], my most interesting part is flexible tactics and special body scale of werewolves. The scene I designed is a werewolf habitat, which merely exists in a vampiredominated world, and werewolves should find the way to defense their city. As a result, it is the main concept of the design, which inquiries into the relation between attack and defense. First, I analyzed the differences of body scale and moving characteristics between werewolves and vampires because of that if you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. And I found that the most different part was that there wasn’t any route restriction to the height of space, direction, and wall. Second , I started to study the basic strategy of [Art of war], and the main methods I adopted were that turning the devious into the direct and putting the direct and the indirect method of of attack in combination. The principle of my strategy was the way to avoid what is strong and to strike at what is weak. Then , I combined the characteristics of werewolves and the method of operation named as false or true, and started to organize s o m e i m a g i n a r y s pa c e s , d r a w i n g s o m e imaginary diagrams to fathom each attackdefense relation. Finally, I arranged all of spaces and routes to achieve the goal of “false” and “true”( the

former means to divert enemy’s attention and cheat them, and the later means to muster forces and enhance military strength), starting to make the model and finish this design.

【異身之間】這個設計題目最初是以電影《決戰 異世界》做發想,剛開始我觀察到最有興趣的部分, 是狼人靈活的攻擊行動,以及特殊的身體尺度。我 設定的場景是在被吸血鬼統治的世界,僅存一塊狼 人的棲地,他們該如何守衛他們的城市,於是我便 以此作為這次的設計主題,主要在探討彼此攻城與 守城之間的交互關係。 首先我先分析狼人與吸血鬼之間不同的身體尺 度與行動特性,因為【知己知彼,百戰不殆】知道 彼此的優劣,才能做好萬全的防禦。而最後我發現 最大的不同在於狼人對於空間的高低、路面的向度 及牆面都是沒有限制的。 第二步我開始研究《孫子兵法》的基本戰略, 我最主要運用的戰法是:【以迂為直】以迂迴的攻 擊路徑取代過於直接的攻擊模式,讓敵人難以掌握 自己的目的;及【奇正相生】即使是不斷的偷襲, 也會促使敵人防禦心提高,奇襲跟正攻交互使用才 能使敵人難以捉摸行蹤,進而取得勝利。我發現這 些戰略的原則都可以用虛實來統整,要【以虛示人, 以實備敵】,並且【避實擊虛】。 第三步我利用狼人的特性,結合虛實的戰法, 開始組織一些想像的空間,並且繪畫一些在路徑上 的想像圖,揣摩彼此攻防關係。 最後我開始統整我組織的空間與路徑,以達到 【虛】( 分散注意力以欺騙敵人 )、【實】( 集中兵 力與增強實力 ) 開始製作模型完成這整個設計。

[Inbetween Regular Body and Altered Body Inbetween Altered Space of Altered Body] When watching the movie Underworld, the most interesting part that attract me is something about deformation.I found it novel when the werewolf deformed form human being to wolf shape, so I decided to do this my main idea.

[ 異身之間 ] 在電影決戰異世界中,我觀察到最 有趣的部分,就是狼人由人形變身為狼形的過程, 我以我就以變形的這一底為這次的主題。

To study what deformation happened, I started to observe the scens when deformation happened in the movie.After a chain of analysis I noticed that The Force is the main effection to the defoemation.So I choose the viwepoint of Force to keep on studying this case.

於是我將最常出現的力分為四種,分別是推力、 拉力、撐力、壓力加以觀察。在圖畫的表現上,我 將這四種力,轉化成是種不同的筆觸,運這四種不 同的筆繪,加上在電影中變形的場景,與自己對於 變形部分的想像,畫出 14 張圖。

Then I classify four force that appear most, that are acking force,tension, bracing force and pressure.In the picture,I tuned these four kind of force into four different style of drawing ,then use it with the thing I found in the movie and my imagination of deformation to draw 14 sketch. At last, I used different light and shade and different size to pile and pull a space, to show what I found and want to express in this project.

為了深入研究變形一事,我開始子線觀察電影中 所有的變形場景,並在一系列的變形過程中發現, 力是所有影響變成過程最大的因素,所以就決定以 力的觀點來研究變形這件事情。

最後用不同的明暗與大小,疊合併拉扯出一個 由不同大小與不同作用力的空間,呈現出我所觀察 到的所有東西,構成一個由變形開始發想的異身之 間。

Imagine a body under the space , scale from the space between humans and zombies, the user's body from the mutation and the deformation of the human race and an objects, imagine a variety of abnormal space between human and ordinary people in organize,so we analyze it and create it ! This design is to train a group of wellestablished military troops.

I intend to train zombies within a group of Navy Seals from the film of Resident Evil , due to the training program, the threat of attack against the country and protect our national leaders. through a series of training to achieve the desired purpose. Then build a training center.

想像一種身體規範下的空間,尺度來自人類和 喪屍之間的空間,使用者來自突變的身軀、形變的 人種和類物體,想像多種異常人與常人並存的空間 組織,分析它且創造它 !

本設計為了訓練一批有素的部隊。角色有 : 喪 屍前鋒部隊、喪屍左衝部隊、右衝部隊、喪犬結合 傘兵 暗黑殺星、伏兵、迷你攻擊犬、巡邏犬、偵查犬

透過電影的想像,T 病毒打入人體內,進行圖 變,而變成喪屍。 我打算把惡靈古堡內的喪屍訓練成一批海豹部 隊喪屍版,透過他們的訓練,攻擊對本國有威脅的 國家和保護我國領袖。欲透過一連串的訓練達到應 有的目的。進而打造一棟訓練中心。


想法 : 透過電影的想像,T 病毒打入人體內, 進行圖變,而變成喪屍。 我打算把惡靈古堡內的喪屍訓練成一批 海豹部隊喪屍版,透過他們的訓練,攻擊 對本國有威脅的國家和保護我領袖。欲透 過一連串的訓練達到應有的目的。進而打 造一棟訓練中心。

模型概念 : 模型動線及外觀的發展來自創作畫疊 圖的效果來進行轉化。圖中為一個挑高的 空間,漂浮於海上,高度約五百米的海上 訓練中心。 模型裡頭均有一根一根之突起物,為 降落跑道及訓練喪屍的衝刺跑道。 頭頂突出的部分為人類的中控中心。

In these actions, I summed up the pushPull the twisting of several movements, then I also defines several strokes to represent these actions,Small units that form the movement way, is person and zombie interaction partThen this big movement. I imagine a use the lowest frequency of cells, and one of the highest frequency of useRotation of the cells. Then I imagine several time points in the cell shape, because the originalthe muscle cells of striated muscle, it will slowly change in the rotating case. 我在影片中觀察到有許許多多的動作,我將它 們全部記錄下來,並經行分類,大概分為生存求生 類與抗爭類。那我將動作分等級,慢慢就是由等級 低到等級高,分類的依據大概是對環境的利用與團 隊的合作或者是動作是單個或者是套路。 既然我已經將動作分了等級,我就將所有的動 作畫了下來,組成一個連貫的過程,那分析圖上有 明暗的變化,那我定義明暗代表動作的使用頻率, 越暗的部分代表動作的使用頻率越高,動作的等級 也就越低。反之亦然。在這些動作中,我歸納出推 拉扭伸等幾個動作,那我就隨之定義了幾種筆觸來 代表這些動作,那組成這個大的動作的小單元的方 式,是人與殭屍互動接觸的部分便組成這個大的動 作。我想像一個使用頻率最低的細胞,和一個使用 頻率最高的細胞的轉動情況。然後我想像其中幾個 時間點的細胞的形狀,因為原本的肌肉細胞為橫紋 肌,那在轉動的情況下會慢慢的變化。因為這是一 個動態的過程,我覺得跟動作的過程是一致的。那 這樣一個變化的過程,在我的想像中他是一個路 徑,而這條路徑是一條龍骨,旁邊會有許許多多的 小循環,那我的模型以我的創作畫為借鑒來完成, 這個創作畫體現了空間內部的組織關係。 我想像一個使用頻率最低的細胞,和一個使用 頻率最高的細胞的轉動情況。然後我想像其中幾個 時間點的細胞的形狀,因為原本的肌肉細胞為橫紋 肌,那在轉動的情況下會慢慢的變化。因為這是一 個動態的過程,我覺得跟動作的過程是一致的。那 這樣一個變化的過程,在我的想像中他是一個路 徑,而這條路徑是一條龍骨,旁邊會有許許多多的 小循環,那我的模型以我的創作畫為借鑒來完成, 這個創作畫體現了空間內部的組織關係。
