Carrying capacity is important to measure the maximum number of permissible visitors and usability of a land or a park
or some eco-sensitive zones. Allowable environmental changes without compromising the bio-diversities of such land
zones give rise to this concept. Its calculation is very useful in tourism planning. Determination of carrying capacity of
Singalila National Park is being presented here using five main limiting factors - visitors' inflow, vehicles' entry, the
vastness of the area, space ideally to be available to each visitor and specific visiting time in a year-round.
