he clear emerald sea splashes the six and a half kilometers of white stone beaches lined with pine trees and the lively Dalmatian town above which the untamed Biokovo Mountain rises - that is Baška Voda, a famous resort in Dalmatia located about 50 kilometers south of Split. Amongst the many beaches, Nikolina Beach stands out, and it flies the Blue Flag, a guarantee the sea is clean. The beach and the entire town also won the valuable Blue Flower tourism award. The view of the beach from the web camera has been proclaimed to be amongst the most beautiful in the world, and the Daily Mail said it was one of the top ten most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean. This summer, walk down the new beachside promenade that runs alongside the entire south side (next to Nikolina and Stazica beaches) with even
more facilities, a new child's playground, and a beach for pets. Tighten the sails and sail out to sea or head down one of the many walking paths. Take along the new travel map that includes the walking trails in the surrounding area, which also includes trails on Biokovo. The locals have also prepared a new, more detailed guide on Baška Voda that will be available not only in Croatian, but also in ten other international languages and it includes free postcards of the place. All those publications include QR codes for free app downloads with audio guides in five languages. Along with great accommodations (more than 40 houses with pools, six four-star hotels, two camps), Baška Voda also offers great entertainment. It is especially lively during the Baška Voda Summer Festival. Have fun at the concerts and folk dance performances at that traditional event.
