Chairman of American Racing and Entertainment Jeff Gural was at Tioga Downs on September 3 for an important presentation. As a way of giving back to those who have so heroically served and protected us, a check for all ticket sales proceeds from the Oak Ridge Boys concert held August 10 at Tioga Downs was presented to the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group. In addition to the proceeds raised from ticket sales, Mr. Gural personally donated $10.00 for each ticket making a total of $20 for every ticket sold. That brought the amount of the final donation to a remarkable $78,400 for the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group. “Once again, I am grateful for the opportunity to help our veterans here in the twin tiers. The Oak Ridge Boys is one of my favorite groups, and the donation is being done in appreciation for all that

the veterans in the country have done to keep us safe,” Mr. Gural stated. Mr. Gural and Tioga Downs have made several notable donations to veteran’s causes, and continue to make giving to such causes a priority. Last year’s Wynonna concert at Tioga Downs raised $40,870 through ticket sales, with Mr. Gural’s $5.00 match adding another $20,435 to the final amount that was then donated to the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group. Tioga Downs Casino is open yearround with video gaming machines, simulcast horse racing, restaurants, a sports bar and special entertainment events. It is located along the north side of NY Route 17/ I-86, two miles west of exit 62 in Nichols, NY. For more information go to www.tiogadowns.com (1-888WIN-TIOGA).
