We know that military service changes you, giving you new perspectives about what’s important, and a more serious sense of purpose. So you want a university that cuts to the chase, respects your other commitments, and gives you a real-world education for your real life. SVSU named ‘Military-Friendly’ university

Saginaw Valley State University was included on the G.I. Jobs 2012 Military Friendly Schools list, which honors the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members and veterans as students. SVSU currently has 170 students who are receiving veteran’s benefits. The Cardinal Military Association, a registered student organization, is an affiliate of Student Veterans of America, a coalition of student veteran groups on college campuses across the United States. In addition, the Department of Veterans Affairs has approved two student work/study positions at SVSU.
