Dear Sir/Madam: Greetings! We at the National Interfaith Consultative Committee (NICCOM) will present a grand book launching of KRIS OF JUSTICE: The Story of the Greatest Race of Warriors the Modern World Never Knew on November 29, 2011 at FULLY BOOKED Bonifacio Global City at 6 p.m. National Interfaith Consultative Committee (NICCOM), the very first interfaith group in the Philippines and perhaps in the World composed of all major religions, was established in 1973 by the late President Ferdinand Marcos and the late Jaime Cardinal Sin. NICCOM has broken denominational barriers and indeed contributed greatly to the peaceful means of resolving national issues by means of recommendations through resolutions, many of which have been approved by former presidents. NICCOM continues to inspire and give hope for real peace and seeks to provide tools for change and growth of individuals, organizations and the country in general. Through incessant dialogues, fellowships and recommendations via resolutions, NICCOM will ensure that people’s unheard voices be heard and basic needs be addressed. KRIS OF JUSTICE: The Story of the Greatest Race of Warriors the Modern World Never Knew is the very first novel that tries to explore the root causes of the ages-old conflict between Muslims and Christians in Mindanao. Written by ABDEL KARIM C. TILLAH, a Filipino Muslim descendant of the Royal House of Tawi-Tawi, who was born to a Muslim father and a Christian mother. He wrote this novel to reveal the amazing and true account of the Moros (Muslims who lived in Sulu and Mindanao Sultanates) and their struggles with the Western Christian colonizing powers. It also depicts the Muslim past of the now Christian-dominated Philippines and contains a critical discussion of the worldwide history of Christian-Muslim interaction and conflict—all interwoven within an intelligent and exciting modern-day action adventure story. The non-fiction chapters can serve as useful introductory reference texts on Moro History and the global history of Christian-Muslim relations, both of which may considerably be a part of the standard Philippine and world history subjects taught in schools. The publication is a very interesting and engaging reading material that will help the readers, especially the youth to have a better understanding and appreciation of the Muslim culture. Ultimately, it hopes to foster solidarity among the present and succeeding generations of Muslims and Christians, not only in the Philippines but also in other countries. Former President Fidel V. Ramos will be our guest of honor on the said event. We are cordially inviting you to be among our selected guests and enthusiastic to have you at the book launching. Your presence will greatly be appreciated. More importantly, to stand behind a noble cause will certainly bring about joviality and fulfillment like no other. For you to have a better idea of the book and a good glimpse of the author, kindly visit the website www.krisofjustice.com. Thank you and God bless!
