Tim Writes  Rapid progress is being made on the property repairs. The roof is now fully replaced and the plumbing underway. The Neale's should be back in Monday RITA SHIFT ON TUESDAY Rita Behm one of our parishioners is moving house on Tuesday and we desperately need cars, trailers and people to give us a hand. If you can help please let Tim know and meet at 167 Shakespeare St at 11am. INTERCESSORS TRAINING For those who missed the intercessors training there will be a repeat on the 23rd of August from 1-2pm at Cobden church. Please be there if you missed the first one or are interested in becoming involved in intercessions. OKARITO TRIP Henk is busy arranging the next Okarito Trip. You can come and go at any stage over the weekend but it will run from Friday morning the 10th of

October through to Mon morning on the 13th. Accommodation will cost $20/night. Travel and food to be worked out separately. It will be a wonderful time of fellowship, fishing, walking and generally just taking time out to relax and recreate.

PRAYER IN THE VESTRY Just a quick reminder to those involved in prayer out the back in the vestry after the Cobden service. While we offer ministry prayer out the front during the service it doesn't take the place of the chance for more extensive prayer out the back for those who would appreciate it. If you are rostered on for Prayer in the Vestry then please make your way there immediately after the service and if no-one turns up after five minutes then come on out and join everyone else for coffee and a chat. CELEBRATING MARRIAGE On the last Sunday in August (31st) we're celebrating marriage in the service. The service will include a marriage blessing for couples who Mon 18th Tues 19th Wed 20th Thurs 21st

CAKES FOR THE FIRE SERVICE As a way of saying thank you to the Cobden Fire service Nolene is co-ordinating some baking for a nice supper which we will deliver to the station on Monday 18th which is their training night. If you would like to help with this then either bring some baking to church on the 17th or give Nolene a ring on 768-4638.

SPRING FLOWER COMMUNION The Greymouth Uniting Church Annual Spring Flower Communion Service is to be held at the Church 203 Tainui Street on Sunday 31 August 2008 at 2pm. There will be afternoon tea to follow. All are cordially invited to attend this function.
