The Anglican Parish of Cobden-Runanga

The Herald To know Jesus Christ and to make Him known. Sunday 28th September 2008 Theme for this Sunday: Nicky Mora Readings: Nicky Mora Theme for 5th October: Luke's take on the Beatitudes Readings: Isaiah 58:1-10, Micah 6:6-8, Luke 6:17-36

Tim Writes Words of affirmation, gift giving, quality time, acts of service and touch were the five love languages we discussed last Sunday. I understand a number of couples have already had 'healthy' discussions around the topic. Can I encourage you again not to put off for tomorrow what needs to be done today. Take 10min and do one thing this week that will meet your spouses love language. VESTRY RETREAT This coming Saturday the vestry will be taking some time out together to pray and to come together in unity as we seek to lead this parish in God's will. Pray that the time will be a positive, enlivening and uniting one for vestry members. CALLING ALL SIDESPEOPLE Quite regularly we get material from various mission agencies and Christian organisations for wider distribution amongst our congregation. When we do so Barry Smithson will leave it at the back of the Cobden Church under the newsletters. When people arrive can

you please pass not just the newsletter but also this material to them. Many thanks.
