Tim Writes  The Bishop is due to arrive in our patch on Friday. Personally I am looking forward to a bit of a ramble with the Bish' and I hope there will be others to join us. Richard will also speak at the Cobden service at 10:30am on Sunday to which the whole parish is invited. There will not be a Blackball service that week. NEW YOUTH SERVICE Come to "THE WAY" To find a better way. This Sun we begin our new youth service called "The Way". Meeting at 6.30pm @ the Baptist Church, with donuts and coke. We believe that God has an alternative life plan, to the one our culture is following. That he has answers to important life questions and that if we follow him, we will ultimately find a better way. We also want to build a strong supportive Christian youth community, that worships, asks questions and has fun together. The last Sun of every month will be a social

MARAE VISIT 28-29th March Holy Trinity are arranging another Marae visit to Bruce Bay. It will a very worthwhile experience for those wanting to understand and learn more about Maori culture, language and traditions. The cost is $40/adult, $22/high school youth and $18 primary. Travel will be on top of that. I will be going and have room in my car at no travel cost for 3-4 others. If you would like to know more or to come yourself then see me this Sunday as we have to indicate numbers by Tuesday. BISHOP'S BLOG The Bishop has begun his walk and as I write this is making his way over the Takaka Hill. Please pray for physical resiliency and that God would bless his effort. SIGN UP FOR BISHOP'S WALK Last chance to sign up for the Bishop's walk. At the back of each church are forms and a map for signing up to walk part of the way with the Bishop on Mar. 6th & 7th when he walks from Punakaiki to Greigs and then to Greymouth. People are welcome to walk with him for part or all of that distance. We will be arranging transport to and from the various points on both Friday and Saturday. Please read the instructions and then fill in the form if that's what you would like to do. WORLD DAY OF PRAYER SERVICE The annual ecumenical World Day of Prayer will be hosted this year at Holy Trinity Church (193 Tainui St.) this Friday, March 6th, at 7pm. This year the service has been prepared by the Women of Papua New Guinea. A

collection will be taken and supper will be served after the service. All are welcome. BISHOPDALE HANDBOOK For those interested in the work of the College and the courses they are offering we have a few copies of their latest handbook at the rear of church. CHURCH SIGN Progress is often slow but sure and steady. Our new church sign for Cobden has been printed and will be put in place next week.
