Wor d s from C oach Dear Alum, I would like to share with you a few updates on some exciting news revolving around our football program. A few Alums and myself have been meeting throughout the year and have officially started our Alumni Association! Our goal in starting this association is to get our alumni more involved and connected with our program. My staff and I are working diligently to build this program the right way. In order to do this we need help from our alum. Moving forward, we have elected the following positions in our Tiffin University Football Alumni Association. President - Andy Faber, Vice President - Aaron Smith, Secretary - Donnie Johnson, and Treasurer -

Head Coach - Gary Goff - 1st Season

Mark Dircksen. One of our goals is to keep our alumni up to date with events, as well as, an inside look to the program. A weekly newsletter will be sent out during the season followed with a monthly newsletter after the season. Changes are happening throughout the program. The staff and I are heavily recruiting at the moment and are committed to building this program the right way. We are recruiting great athletes of high character that are winners. We will be competitive in the GLIAC and I will not back down from doing things the right way. Like the saying goes, “Rome wasn't built in a day.” Brighter days are ahead of us!

Player Highlights

James Capello - Quarterback Attempts

James is our starting quarterback who lead the nation in completion percentage. Due to injury James only played in 8 games. However, James broke a GLIAC and school record with 46 completions in a game. James also broke a school record for touchdowns accounted for in a game with 6 verses Lake Erie. The record was previously held by alum and NFL coach George Whitfield. James is only a sophomore and I am excited about the type of player he will develop into.

Quick Notes

We are heavily recruiting right now! We are turning over every stone in the state, but if you have any leads on players feel free to give us a call. The amount of talent in this state is unreal.

The new facility is coming along very nice. We hope to have the indoor practice facility open sometime after the holiday break. If you haven't seen the design of the building you should look it up on our school website.

We are going to have a recruit bash on national signing day to announce our 2012 signing class at Carmie’s Grill and Bar. We will have food and fun while we introduce the signees in a NFL style draft announcement. More details to come.
