Healthy Fall Appetizers Many of you have heard the saying “life is about the journey, not the destination.” This is applicable when you are making changes to your diet to fit a healthy lifestyle. This is a journey that takes commitment and dedication. As many of you know, I have worked for a company called JuicePlus for the past 3½ years. A very dear high school friend of mine educated me on the importance of whole food nutrition. Growing up in Oxford, my mom was always gardening and getting the best produce from her friends who had the farmers stand, Bill Eason and Pat Lyons. So, I appreciate both Wendy Vance and my mom for always keeping me in line with better food choices. About three weeks ago I got a scary call from my mom telling me that my dad had a heart attack and was having a quadruple bypass. After a long stay in the hospital and lots of good care, he is now home with my mom and sister. He was given strict instructions to add

more raw fruits and veggies for their healing powers so that he could regain his strength. I am now on a mission to try to help educate as many people as possible through healthy eating, relaxation, exercise and enjoying life.
