On Friday, February 26, the focus will be on American folk art and country antiques, featuring early weathervanes, led by a full-body cow by Harris & Co. of Boston, a group of important portraits, antique country and painted furniture, and outstanding collections of early painted boxes, antique toys, and country accessories.
On Saturday, February 27, we will offer an outstanding selection of fine art, including works by Joseph DeCamp, William Sidney Mount, John Frederick Kensett, William Metcalf, and more; plus, five important early Audubon prints. On Sunday, February 28, the emphasis will be on late 19th to early 20th Century decorative arts, featuring artwork by Carlos Enriquez, Antonio Ruiz, Ivan Pochitonov, Rene Portocarrero, Stephen Etnier, and Bruno Zach. A selection of 24 musical instruments will be offered, including an 1832 Italian cello by Gaetano Guadagnini II, an 1898 C.F. Martin parlor guitar, and 18 assorted European violins.
