MAY7VEN NEW SINGLE “TEN TEN” May7ven, the UK Based-Nigerian born, singer/songwriter, dancer and producer, is on a mission to be the first artist to successfully break an afrobeats track into the UK singles charts with her new single called "Ten Ten". Hailed amongst some of the most reputable music lovers and producers in the industry, as a musical prodigy, who has risen like a phoenix from the ashes‘! After the successful releases of her first two singles, "Hands Up" and "Take off my clothes/Bo Aso La Ra Mi" in 2008/2009, which made their mark on the UK, European & African MTVs charts, May7ven the queen of the stage, known for her elaborate and energetic stage performances has been touring extensively throughout the world. From supporting and opening for Akon, Sean Paul, Ginuwine, J. Holiday, Mary J Blige, Black eyed peas, Joe, D'banj and much more to making special requested performances for the Jackson family, the President of Nigeria, President of Angola and super brands including Mobile giants Globalcom, GSM, Nigerian Breweries, Zain, MTN, Nigerian Idol eviction show and most recently stormed the stage at the sold out Afrobeats Festival at the HMV Apollo on August 2011 as the only female artist alongside MOBO nominated artists Wizkid, Psquare and Iceprince. Newly signed to SRE (UK Label who also manage DOTSTAR, "grime genius" -Metro Newspaper) complete with her trend setting looks, style and most importantly killer vocals, she is ready to set the UK on fire with her dance skills often compared to Ciara and Janet Jackson, but with an African twist. With 10 music awards under her belt, contracts with Malta Guinness Street Dance TV show with her solo efforts in 2009, May7ven ignited the wave of interest in Nigerian afro-R&B female artists. The single is hugely supported by CHOICE FM UK with DJ Abrantee endorsing the track commenting "This song is massive and can actually break the UK and is going straight to my play list". Play it once you instantly know it’s a banger, play it twice and you are hooked, if you are not booty bouncing to the catchy hook "Dance for mummy, shake for daddy" you must be a corps or paralytic. It’s new, fresh and certainly a celebration of M7’s environmental upbringing, as an African. May7ven Ten Ten Press Release 21.09.11
