he Uni Pub, located on the corner of University Avenue and London Circuit, is a venue that excites through its sheer ambition. Australia’s only five storey pub opened just before Christmas 2006 with a view to catering to the growing number of professional workers, uni students and residents on the west side of the expanding CBD, and is certainly worth a visit for thirsty travellers in the city. Each level of this multi storey complex has a fully equipped bar with beer on tap and a great selection of wines & spirits. Each level is beautifully fitted out in a classic style and each has its own purpose: On street level you will find the Pub Bar, opening out to the street with plenty of outdoor tables for patrons enjoying an after work drink. The first floor offers a restaurant, specialising in grilled pub fare; the second floor is dedicated to pool tables; the third is a lounge bar with a very exclusive feel and the top floor is a nightclub. Canberra’s biggest and newest pub is a great experience for those looking for a place that caters to a number of tastes and activities.
