Some Meglitinide medications are Repaglinide and Prandin.  Sulfonylurea - help the body to produce more insulin, this excess insulin helps to lower the blood glucose level when needed, especially after meal time. Some Sulfonylurea medications are Glipizide, Glyburide and Glimepiride.  Thiazolidinedione - helps the body to utilize the insulin properly, thus blood glucose level stay normal and body cells get the energy they needed. Some Thiazolidinedione medications are Actos, Pioglitazone and Avandia.  Combination Diabetes Pills - Many diabetic patients need more than one type of diabetes pill to control their blood glucose level, thus combination diabetes pills.
