Letter From The Founder Andray's Story As a little boy, I grew up without a father. My Dad went to prison when was seven years old which left my mom to take care of me and my 7 brothers and sister alone. When I was thirteen years old he was deported for life.

I remember how lost and broken I felt not knowing or having a dad to help me find answers to questions every little boy has growing up. This feeling of emptiness took me down a path, looking for answers in all the wrong places.

It was when I had fell into a dark hole where Jesus took me out and came into my life, His grace and my newly found identity in Him saved me from a 10 year prison sentence. I started living for my savior. After he shaped me into the man He originally created me to be, I spent seven years in deep turmoil, asking God to tell me specifically what he wanted me to do and to show me how He wanted me to serve Him. In 2021, God gave me an out of body vision. In the vision He said, “I’m calling you to be a father to the fatherless. Go be who you needed when you were a little boy looking for answers in all the wrong places.”

I began dreaming of creating a safe place where I can adopt as many boys that are growing up without a father and invest my life and raising them to be all that they were created to be, living in their true identity and purpose through Christ.

Who We Are

According to the Office of Child Abuse Prevention in California, in 2018, 35.7% of all households in Sacramento County were fatherless. In the same year, there were over 1.2 million fatherless children in the state of California; nearly 11% of those reside in Sacramento County.

In the field of youth ministry, 95% of the young teens we work with are either growing up without a father or with an unhealthy and neglecting father who is consistently in and out of the house.

We have come to find out that the root of the brokenness impressed upon these teens is often the lack of a father figure to help guide, love, and protect them.

Mission

To advance the kingdom of God by redeeming, restoring, and healing the lives of children. We promise to love, serve, and help guide them in discovering their identity in Jesus. By providing a safe, loving, and healthy family atmosphere that every child needs to thrive, and introducing them to the idea of being fathered by the only true everlasting Father, we hope to impact their lives with a lasting change, both here in the community and eternally.

Vision

To defend the cause of the fatherless. To redeem their lives, restore their souls, and set them apart. Helping children live their God-given purpose and preparing them for every good work to come in their future.

We want to bring healing and restoration in every area of these kids' lives. Physically, spiritually, emotionally, and practically. I will raise these boys as my own, day-to-day, moment for moment.

Ruben's Story Ruben was a young boy that was raised in a community that never conveyed who Jesus truly is, a loving and gracious Father. Growing up not knowing how to deal with his emotions and brokenness, he looked for healing and purpose in all the wrong ways and places. this led him into a life of hopelessness, addiction, and depression, which ultimately resulted in the loss of his identity.

When Ruben decided to seek truth and meaning concerning his purpose in life, I (Andray Mikayelyan, Co-Founder of The Father’s Lighthouse) was presented the opportunity to step into his personal life in 2019. As we started a day-to-day journey, I came to understand that Ruben had a very deep misconception of what it meant to be a man and husband. His culture had shaped his understanding of what true masculinity is into a false depiction; this was one of many unhealthy lies that produced a lot of horrible choices. As I modeled what it is to be a man, husband, and father to Ruben, he encountered many failures, tears, and prayers.

Today, Ruben is living a life full of joy, peace, and hope by knowing his identity in Christ. He has been set free from addiction, depression, and many other unhealthy habits. Now, Ruben is pouring into other young boys that are broken and fatherless. He serves as the right hand to our ministry, The Fathers Lighthouse, helping us to bring healing to the next little boy through Jesus.

Benji's Woodfire Pizza As I searched for a way to restore and defend the cause of the fatherless God gave me a vision that led to Benjis Woodfire Pizza.

When God gave me the vision to be a father to the fatherless I was asking God how can I provide the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of these broken young boys if and when they came. He told me use your gifts. Being that I was in the restaurant industry for over 10 years, I decided to start a catering business out of my garage to use as capital and fund the land that I needed to build a safe place to take care of these boys that God gave me eyes for!

Benjamin Biblically means “A son of my right hand” and when I started walking with God as my Father I felt like a son again. This is when I asked God to us me as a son of His right hand to raise sons and bring healing to the next generation through me!

Growth Plan We plan to purchase between 15-20+ acres land in Northern California. We aim to use this property to support a solid foundation for our non-profit’s vision of growth and transformation of the lives of children growing up without fathers.

Our objective is to purchase enough land to start with seven buildings, in which three will be used as residential family homes, one as a sub home, and the other three to build community and sow into our mission and vision of impacting the lives of young children.

Worship Center General Purpose:

To serve all needs from Daycare/chapel bathrooms, showers, stage, kitchen, community /couple/Youth group kids /Church meeting rooms, Prayer, God’s Word, Deliverance, Discipleship, and a place for spiritual support and growth.

Education, Career & Counsel Center The Father’s Lighthouse will create an environment for children to grow and learn, while providing emotional healing and support through faith-based counseling services.

Barber Shop & Salon This building will cater to the family and specialize in children’s hair cuts and grooming needs in a positive and enjoyable environment. This will be a place for hairdressers, designers, and stylists to tend to each child’s individuality. We also plan to set a work program in place which will allow opportunities for teens who are ready to work and are interested in advancing their career in becoming a barber or hairdresser. Ultimately, this is one of the many avenues that we plan to operate within the provision of a safe environment for children to grow, learn, and advance into adulthood while experiencing the love of Jesus.

Our Impact

Stewardship Through Partnership The Father's Lighthouse is working with Third Lens Ministries, a nonprofit organization which manages the design-build process in order to ensure a successful building project for ministries. The Father's Lighthouse is part of the Planting Oaks inititave through Big Oak Ranch, dedicated to planting childrens' homes around the country. In addition, all profits made by Benji's Woodfire Pizza (owned by Andray Mikayelyan, Co-Founder of The Father's Lighthouse) are dedicated to funding The Father's Lighthouse and all its operations.

In the first 5 years we plan to impact 5-8 children per home •

Each child’s annual budgeted needs = $20,000

Family budget with 5 children = $100,000 Annually

Family budget with 8 children = $160,000 Annually

Through your generosity, we will meet our non-profit vision of growth initiative as planned.

We will share our vision and mission with thousands and reach to impact the lives of many children. After our initial placement of 25 children with the 5 year plan, we anticipate housing five additional children annually. With this growth plan in place we plan to have a lifetime impact on 50 children in the first 10 years of operation.
