Funding Initiative

In 2018, it seemed daunting to make any difference in one life. The Kireka school had so many overwhelming needs that couldn’t be easily addressed in a moment.
In July 2019, however, the situation started to change. Sumaya Divine, a special needs child, gave her life to JESUS! She received her salvation. Let’s celebrate her. She accepted Jesus because of someone’s generosity to get her a wheelchair.
Sumaya Divine’s Experience
Sumaya Divine is a child of God but her earthly parents abandoned her. She experienced verbal and emotional abuse from her household. Sumaya was a Moslem and came from a Moslem family. She was never allowed to watch any television at her house, always abandoned at school for weeks, sometimes months, even during holidays.
Sumaya Divine’s Story Today!
Sumaya is fully supported by Promise International to be at school with all her needs met. Sumaya loves to sing to the Lord and one day envisions leading worship at a local church in Uganda. Sumaya is a leader in her school.
Sumaya’s
story represents so many other stories of so many children and families impacted because of the people who said YES to giving towards the work of Promise International.

humility stewardship authenticity respect serving others
Empowering individuals and families living in poverty and with special needs to transform their lives, families, futures, and communities by providing essential practical solutions to their physical, spiritual, emotional, and social needs.
Our vision is an Africa in which every person, regardless of physical, developmental, emotional or sensory special needs, has the opportunity to live with dignity and to pursue the purpose(s) for which God created them.
We are followers of Jesus Christ who respond to His call to love and serve the poor while trusting the Holy Spirit to do His transformative work. We seek to emulate the Good Samaritan whose compassion crossed ethnicities and religions. We serve all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.
Our goal is to build a Promise International led school (Kavanah School) meaning Righteous Intentions in Hebrew. The school will be inclusive, offering wholistic education to all the students (Soul, Mind, Spirit and Body). The school will accommodate 200 students from age 5 and above.
Dormitories will house and accommodate all our children. All children will be resident at the school each term. Also, the dormitories will continuously accommodate the children who don’t have homes to belong to.
The Clinic will serve as our medical center. We shall have the medicines for our children and 3 resident nurses and 1 resident doctor. The Clinic will extend medical services to the community through a mobile medical service outreach.
Our Chapel will serve as our sanctuary for our students, teachers and nonteaching staff. The Church will serve our community where the local people can come and worship. Our Chapel can also be used for village meetings and a training venue for missionaries.
Promise International is working with Third Lens Ministries, a nonprofit organization which manages the design-build process in order to ensure a successful building project for ministries.
Gorham Bird, a Third Lens partner, has volunteered and donated his architectural design services for this capital campaign, greatly lowering design + planning costs, valued at $10,000.
