SAMMY’S
STORY OUR MISSION OUR FUTURE

ALL FOR THE ONE

When I was 7 years old, I entered the House of Mercy orphanage in Quebrada Seca with my two brothers. My mother was unable to care for us, and at the time I felt worthless. I was a person who stuttered a lot; and because of my insecurities, I didn’t want to go to school. Pastor Rubén and Verónica of the orphanage always told me that I had a lot of potential and read the word of God to me.

As I was growing, I began getting very good grades in school; and in time, I graduated from 9th grade. Around that time a group of missionaries came with Tim and Nancy Lovelace, who were part of Go To Nations and Glodev, Inc. They came to help teach us and build an aquaponic system in the orphanage. During that time, I took the opportunity to work and learn alongside other missionaries about the aquaponic system. It was something wonderful to see. While working, I had the opportunity to meet Wyly and Candy Gammon, missionaries with Go To Nations. Through that relationship they gave me the opportunity to go to New Destiny School and the Go To Nations School of Ministry under Directors Jesse and Sara Eggman and Garito and Gwen Stanley. I learned so much through them; they helped me to understand that I was worth so much more, that I was important to God. I was being connected, and I knew that God had a purpose for my life. They taught me the Word of God, which changed my life forever.

I graduated from high school and also from Go To Nation School of Ministry and served on a mission trip to Haiti with Garito. Today, with the help of all the missionaries and their financial partners, God has taken away the pain of my young life. My mom is proud of me, and I feel very happy that I am doing my missionary apprenticeship in Peru. I do not think that orphanages, schools, and buildings transform the needy, but God does with the help of His people. However, in these structures, ministry happens and God is fulfilling His purpose for the man that I am now and many others like me.

Our MIssion & history

Go To Nations exists to initiate and accelerate missions ministry on a global scale until every tribe, every tongue, and every nation has heard the Good News of Jesus Christ. Go To Nations, in partnership with the body of Christ, trains leaders to change nations, ignites the fires of evangelism, brings hope to the hurting, and plants strong national churches. This is accomplished through our worldwide missionary field force and through increasing the ministry capabilities of individuals, churches, and ministries globally.

Founded by Dr. Daniel and Sharon Williams, and incorporated in 1981, Calvary International has grown and developed into having a significant role in missions mobilization in over 100 nations around the world. The mission efforts that began in Costa Rica, spread quickly to Mexico, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, and the Philippines. More than 10,000 nationals were trained in Calvary Bible Schools within the first 10 years. Today, Go To Nations has expanded its worldwide ministry from Bible schools and church planting to include orphan and elderly care, street evangelism, feeding programs, community transformation projects, discipleship and leadership development programs, and so much more.

Our next 40 years

Go To Nations is at a gateway as a 40-year organization, moving from Now to Next. We are committed to a third generation strategy. Our first generation “Pioneers” followed a God-given mandate and laid the foundation for an international ministry. Our second generation “Builders” created infrastructure for growth and created key partnerships to increase global effectiveness. Our third generation “Advancers” are now strategically positioned for even greater local and global impact, requiring a multi-faceted ministry campus to see this vision fulfilled.

OUR THIRD GENERATION STRATEGY

The state of missions in America is changing rapidly. Go To Nations has The Pulse of the Nation understanding that there is only a remnant of strong missions churches sending missionaries. As a third generation ministry, Go To Nations understands what necessitates a change in methods to see its greatest effectiveness in today’s world. Each generation has played a significant role in sharing the love and truth of Jesus in the world--to date, more than 1.8 million people have responded to the gospel through our missionaries and affiliates. Go To Nations is experienced in equipping, sending, serving, and bringing transformation on many levels. While leveraging proven methods that are timeless and effective, the “Advancers” embrace an innovative ministry approach that is holistic, bringing hope to the whole world. A relocation to “a multi-ministry campus where many become one” is a God-given vision that sets this third generation strategy in motion.

The Global Missions Center

Go To Nations’ sister organization, GloDev, Inc. (a public charity), has donated a 4-acre tract of land to Go To Nations in order to relocate the headquarters of our ministry, and to build the Go To Nations Global Missions Center. This positions us for the “generational pass” and destiny of the ministry, as well as places both organizations side by side to better meet local needs, change culture, and address global challenges. Bringing all of the ministry together on to one physical property will create greater collaboration, synergy and impact, as well as create a model for the world that is reproducible, scalable, and sustainable.

On a global purview, the remaining unreached are the poorest of the poor. In order to help and lift them, we must combine holistic training and proven ministry methods that work in tandem with the presentation of the love of Christ in order to make disciples “of every nation”.

By building the Global Missions Center on the campus of Eden Gardens Farm, we will be a living model of integrated Gospel and Practical Ministry, running Bible Schools, Missionary Internships and Training programs, alongside an active farm that focuses on agricultural development. Young and old will come for training and serve our community locally before being sent to the nations.
