Plan Your Brisbane Over recent months Council has spoken to thousands of residents across the city to understand what we love most about Brisbane and how we can shape our future. Important choices regarding how we can ensure housing remains affordable, lifestyle opportunities are created as our city grows, ensuring getting around Brisbane is easier not harder and how to create green-space and leisure areas for all of us to enjoy. More than 5000 residents have completed the initial online survey and I invite you to have your say and play the online game or attend a series of engagements across the city to create a Charter of Principles that will guide Brisbane’s future. Plan your Brisbane interactive game available until mid-April. Register to keep in touch with the project via www. brisbane.qld.gov search Plan Your Brisbane. A hard copy of ‘Plan Your Brisbane Survey’ is available from my ward office, please call if you require a copy posted or if you would like to discuss this next exciting chapter for our city.

New Transport Plan for Brisbane Council is currently preparing a new transport plan to guide how our transport network will grow and adapt over the next two decades and beyond to make Brisbane Australia’s most liveable city. In addition to Plan Your Brisbane, we are seeking your feedback on the transport plan until 30 March 2018 to ensure everyone has the opportunity to ‘have your say’, visit www. brisbane.qld.gov.au search New Transport Plan.

The Gap Neighourhood Plan In 2016 council commenced community led consultation for The Gap neighbourhood plan. As a result, a neighbourhood plan draft strategy has been developed through a combination of community feedback. Council is in the process of preparing the draft neighbourhood plan that will go before a full council meeting then to the Qld Govt. for a review of the plan. After the Qld Govt. approval, the neighbourhood plan is adopted and will form part of City Plan. I expect the completion of this process by late 2018.
