Tapas is Spanish in origin, having humble origins as a slice of bread used by bartenders as a ‘tapa’ or lid to keep flies out of drinks. The passage of time has seen tapas evolve into hundreds of different dishes, influenced by the rich history of the Mediterranean, innumerable human conflicts, and the spice trade with far away and exotic lands. The Menu at Toro Bravo includes a selection of Tapas and Raciones, which we encourage you to share. A Tapa is a single serve, and a Ración is a plate to share between two or more people, or a larger dish for one. A Plato is a traditionally sized meal if you prefer an alternative to our perfectly chargrilled aged steaks and fresh seafood.
