The Price of Luxury… Barbados is home to a number of absolutely amazing villas that are truly special in the unrefined sense of the word. And, despite all that’s been going on in the global arena, we have seen a few sales of mega-luxury properties that tell us there is still confidence and interest in this segment of the market. Moreover, recent years have also seen the island record increases in luxury travel, something which has always been considered a positive indicator for the market. In the last three years Barbados has seen four of the highest value villa sales ever recorded. Four Winds led the way with its stunning 17,000 sq. ft. classical style set on over 2-acres of stunning tropical gardens. Based on its guide price of over US$40 million, it was noted then as the highest ever asking price for a property in Barbados.
