Volunteer Mentors Wanted
Could you be a local hero? MAPS is looking for volunteer mentors to support vulnerable young people in the borough.
Why you are needed? MAPS have young people with complex lives facing difficult issues and they need your time and support. Could you be the role model/mentor they need? Do you have 1 to 2 hours a week where you could meet with a young person to listen and engage them?
What are we looking for? We are looking for volunteers who have a positive attitude towards children and young people and a desire to help them achieve their full potential. Someone who is a positive role model, patient, calm, a good listener and who is nonjudgemental. Does this sound like you? THE OLD RECTORY, CARSHALTON Thursday 26 March 19:30 A Friends of Honeywood Event An illustrated talk by Sue Horne, author of ‘A Respectable Parsonage House’, a history of this Grade II* listed building. Surprisingly, the house only functioned as a rectory for less than a third of its life. The occupants were not, as might be expected, all clergymen.
