Thursday 26 March 19:30 A Friends of Honeywood Museum Event, The Old Rectory, Carshalton An illustrated talk by Sue Horne, author of “A Respectable Parsonage House”, a history of this Grade II listed building. Surprisingly, the house only functioned as a rectory for less than a third of its life. The occupants were not, as might be expected, all clergyman. VOLUNTEER MENTORS WANTED Could you be a local hero? MAPS is looking for volunteer mentors to support vulnerable young people in the borough. Why are you needed? MAPS have young people with complex lives facing difficult issues and they need your time and support. Could you be the role model/mentor they need? Do you have 1 to 2 hours a week where you could meet with a young person to listen and engage them? What are we looking for? We are looking for volunteers who have a positive attitude towards children and young people and a desire to help them achieve their full potential. Some one who is a positive role model.
