The Lodge walled garden has been in cultivation since the 18th Century, but has been somewhat neglected in recent years. We aim to bring the garden back into productive use and create a beautiful space for the community to enjoy. So why not join our team of enthusiastic volunteers? There are a range of tasks from light weeding to serious digging. We are also working on designs for the garden and will need to renovate the garden walls. If you want to attend our sessions, we recommend you wear sturdy footwear, layers and long sleeves. Refreshments will be provided. Surprisingly, the house only functioned as a rectory for less than a third of its life. The occupants were not, as might be expected, all clergyman. New Beginnings: Recovering from Divorce or Broken Relationship? New Beginnings is a free divorce support group for anyone who is suffering from a divorce, separation or broken relationship. The aim of the group is to help people to come to terms with the past and make a fresh start in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. MAPS have young people with complex lives facing difficult issues and they need your time and support. Could you be the role model/mentor they need? Do you have 1 to 2 hours a week where you could meet with a young person to listen and engage them? What are we looking for? We are looking for volunteers who have a positive attitude towards children and young people and a desire to help them achieve their full potential. Some one who is a positive role model.
