MINI HONEYWOOD EXPLORERS 100 Year Vote WEDNESDAY 30 MAY 11:00 - 13:00 A Friends of Honeywood Museum Event Learn about the Suffrage campaign, how women earned the right to vote, who Emily Wilding Davison and Emmeline Pankhurst were and their impact, look at the Dearlsey window and create their own, plus activities including making their own campaign flag. Aimed at children aged 6-10 years, the sessions are FREE, but must be pre-booked on 020 8770 4297. All children must by accompanied by a responsible adult. Donations will be very welcome.

15th Wallington is a Scout Group for young people with additional needs currently offering places for Beavers, from age 6 and Cubs & Scouts up to age 14. The group are looking for a Scout Leader, Assistant Leaders and Volunteers that can spare a few hours each week during term time. BANSTEAD ARTS FESTIVAL 2018 The annual Banstead Arts Festival will take place from 28 April to 13 May with a wide range of events on offer. Please see the website from the end of March for full details. Tickets will be on sale from 31 March online at and at the Banstead library. Tickets will also be on sale at the door subject to availability. Performances include; The Young Musicians Concert, Tim Vine, The Oxford Clerks, lunchtime Chamber Music Concerts and the Schools Poetry Competition. There will also be two local guided walks, plus much more!

Dayspace is a day service that provides a creative therapeutic outlet for adults with a learning disability based in Reigate and Caterham on the Hill. The feedback we consistently receive form care managers, social services, support workers and (most importantly) our customers is incredibly positive. We run our service following an adult education model— ensuring every session is challenging, age-appropriate, stimulating and beneficial - encouraging our customers to really fulfil their potential. We provide art, music, dance, drama, nutritional cooking, advocacy, computers, and relaxation sessions with every group tailor-made to ensure our customers get person-centred Activities bases on their particular interests. Could you be that person? VOLUNTEERS WANTED MAPS are a voluntary organisation supporting vulnerable children and young people in the London Borough of Sutton. We are looking for volunteer mentors to support a young person each week for up to a year, to be a listening ear and to give them space and time to unpack life. No qualifications are needed for this role. We are looking for volunteers who have a positive attitude towards children and young people and a desire to help them achieve their full potential. Someone who is a positive role model, patient, calm, a good listener and who is non–judgemental. Does this sounds like you? If you have a couple of spare hours during the dya, evenings or weekends, why not use your skills to suppot a yong person. Training will take place in Sutton on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st April 2018. CARSHALTON METHODIST CHURCH Ruskin Road, Carshalton, SM5 3DE A Life Beneath the Waves Kevin Franks talks about life as a submariner, at our Coffee Morning Saturday 14 April 10am - 12noon. Admission free. Kevin spent more than 20 years in the Royal Navy and nearly nine years underwater during the 1980s. He will take us to the rarely seen cramped lives of submariners and the vessels they lived in. Talk commences at 10.30am
