Our meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month, from 12 noon to 2:30pm at The Oaks Golf and Conference Centre, Woodmansterne Road, Carshalton, SM5 4AN. We provide a light lunch and coffee (licensed bar available), usually followed by a visiting speaker. We also have day coach outings, weekend holiday trips, ‘coffee and quiz’ mornings and occasional lunches at other venues. (Spouses and partners are welcome at all these extra events). The cost of the monthly meeting is £8 and the annual subscription is £15. Carshalton Water Tower The Water Tower opens each Sunday in the month from 2:30 - 5:30pm, unless otherwise stated. The Hermitage is open on the first and third Sunday in each month from 2:30 - 4:30pm when there are also garden tours. Winter Woollies for a good cause: Age UK Sutton is asking the knitters and crocheters of Sutton to take up the needles once again in aid of keeping older people warm and well in winter. The local charity is asking people to knit hats, scarves and festive decorations to sell. The funds raised will support Age UK Sutton to continue providing free services like Information & Advice and befriending, which offer vital support for older people who have no one.
